Ladiesfashionsense- Mistletoe Jello Shots Recipe

Christmas is synonymous with mistletoes. And what better way to celebrate Christmas in a big way with festive mistletoe jello shots. How festive are these? A good Jello shot always makes a celebration that much more memorable.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups green apple soda
  • 1 cup vanilla vodka
  • 2 packets plain gelatin
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 18 sprigs mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup red chocolate candies
 
  1. Add 1/2 cup soda to a saucepan. Sprinkle gelatin over and let sit for two minutes. Add to low heat, and stir until dissolved. Add remaining soda and vodka. Pour into a measuring cup and into shot glasses. Let firm up in the fridge for 2 hours.
  2. Add coconut milk to a small saucepan and sprinkle gelatin over top, let sit for 2 minutes. Heat over low and add sugar. Stir until completely dissolved. Add vodka. Pour until a measuring cup and and gently pour over green layer. Chill until completely firm, about 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Garnish with mint leaves and red chocolate candies

Note: The Mistletoe Jelly Shots use apple soda, gelatin and vodka to make the green layer. The top white layer is coconut milk mixed with gelatin. The mistletoe garnish is made out of mint leaves and red candied chocolate.

Orange Peel Jello-Shots Recipe

Cool & Easy party idea.


Ingredients

·         4 Medium Oranges

·         1 Cup of  Vodka or  Orange Vodka or ( e.g. rum, vodka, gin, whiskey)

·         1 cup of Boiling Water

·         3 oz. Orange Flavored  Jell-O Gelatin

Prepare the Orange Peels

Slice the oranges lengthwise. Using a spoon, scoop out the pulp all the way to the pith without breaking the rind. Place all the orange peels on a muffin pan to keep them upright.
Note: If you don't have a muffin pan, use 2 oz plastic cups instead.

 

Make Jell-O and Fill the Orange Peels

Boil one cup of water. Place the gelatin mix in a bowl and add the boiling water. Stir well until the gelatin dissolves completely. Add the cup of vodka or (rum, gin, whiskey) and stir.
Fill the orange halves all the way to the top with the orange gelatin.

 
 

Refrigerate the Orange Jello Shots

After filling the orange halves with the gelatin, place the muffin pan in the refrigerator. Refrigerate for at least four hours or until firm.
Note: The picture shows the orange jello shots on a muffin pan  as well as on 2 oz plastic cups.

Slice the Orange Jello Shots

Remove the orange halves from the refrigerator. Using a sharp knife, slice the orange halves into wedges
