www.Ladiesfashionsense.com is deeply saddened as we learned about the passing of one our beloved poets, Maya Angelou. While Dr. Angelou's body may be gone, her beautiful and kind spirit along with her loving words  and wisdom will resonate forever.

Dr. Maya was one of the first guests who appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s Master Class on June 16 ,2011.
She explored the mysteries of her creative process, the "Power Of Words" and  how love liberate us. She described how words enter our walls, our clothing, and infiltrates. Words are extremely powerful. They stay with people; they can shape people and sometimes they change people.

Dr. Angelou opened up like never before as she described the traumatic events of her childhood and the courage she found to overcome them. The legend offered her best wisdom, abundant advice and the lessons she was still learning at age 82.

shared her wisdom on a range of topics ranging from her deep-rooted confidence, her hate for modesty, the responsibility of standing up for yourself, the poison of negativity and the relationship between love and liberation.

Dr. Maya Angelou spoke of being conscious of the words we choose to speak, to write, to live by.

>>>The next time you speak envision the words penetrating through your skin right into your heart. Then look up and picture them penetrating those around you who hear them.
>>>Do you want to be a rainbow in their life or a dark cloud? We are all given that choice to make.

10 inspired ideas for your wedding “Something Blue"

Wedding season is upon us. For the big day, many brides choose to incorporate something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue into their weddings. This tradition stems from the following old English rhyme: “Something olde, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a silver sixpence in your shoe.” Something old denotes continuity; something new offers hope for the future; something borrowed represents borrowed happiness; something blue stands for purity, love and fidelity; and a sixpence in your shoe signifies a wish for good fortune and prosperity.

Consequently, family members and the bride’s attendants were encouraged to give their old, new, borrowed and blue items as well as a sixpence to the bride as tokens of their well wishes.

Today, many brides work the old, new, borrowed and blue objects into their weddings themselves. Can’t figure out what to do for your “something blue”? We’ve come up with ideas to fit any celebration – and color scheme.

 Sergio Rossi Furry Sandals

Shoes: Put your best foot forward with a fabulous statement heel.

Statement Ring: Go bold with a fun colorful statement blue ring .
Nail Polish Make a statement with that trendy nail polish you've been dying to wear.

Swarovskicrystals: So your wedding colors are red and black? Not a problem! Hit your “something blue” by gluing blue crystals to the label on your gown.

Hairpin: Pick a comb with a ultra-feminine flower detail. The accessory will be tiny and tucked away in your hair, so it provides another discreet option.

Statement Earringshttp://www.ladiesfashionsense.com/catalog/item/6970267/8847420.htmBling it up with a topaz earrings and have a something blue that will make you feel anything but sad.

Blue Bouquet: Add an air of sophistication

Ring: Take a cue from Kate Middleton and score a sapphire ring as  your wedding band. Icy blue-beaded earrings will do the trick just as well.

Signature Cocktail: Who doesn’t love a great signature cocktail? Add Blue Curacao or Hypnotiq to your concoction for a crowd-pleaser and practical selection for your “something blue.”

Ladiesfashionsense.com - Angelina Jolie Wowed On March Cover Of Vogue Turkey

‘In The Land Of  Blood And Honey’ director Angelina Jolie graces the cover of the March issue of Vogue Turkey as her movie In the Land of Blood and Honey opens across Europe . There’s no denying the Hollywood star’s effortless beauty on the cover.

Clad in a leather jacket, the actress/humanitarian looked simply gorgeous on the black and white cover, shot by famed duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

Angelina has been promoting In the Land of Blood and Honey in several Islamic-heavy markets lately – she even did an interview with Al-Jazeera too. Check out the interview below:

Here is the synopsis about the movie:

Set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War that tore the Balkan region apart in the 1990s, In the Land of Blood and Honey tells the story of Danijel (Kostić) and Ajla (Marjanović), two people from different sides of a brutal ethnic conflict. Danijel, a soldier fighting for the Serbs, and Ajla, a Bosnian held captive in the camp he oversees, knew each other before the war, and could have found love with each other. But as the armed conflict takes hold of their lives, their relationship grows darker, their motives and connection to one another ambiguous, their allegiances uncertain. "In the Land of Blood and Honey" portrays the incredible emotional, moral and physical toll that the war exerts both on individuals and people as a whole, and the terrible consequences that stem from the lack of political will to intervene in a society stricken with conflict.

This is a pretty cool movie to see even though it may be too deep for some mainstream audiences. If you had a chance to see it, how did you feel after watching in the Land Of Blood and Honey?
